WARRANT OUTREACH ASSOCIATE

Department: Operations                                            Reports to: FTA Supervisor

 

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of the Agency’s Operational Unit, the Warrant Outreach Associate supports the collection and transfer of defendant information from court documents used for CJA’s programmatic and evaluative initiatives.

JOB DUTIES

  • Makes telephone calls to defendants to facilitate voluntary return to court
  • Follows up with defendants responding to the FTA outreach
  • Verifies appearances in court by accessing defendant information in our database
  • Records accurate and relevant information in logs or spreadsheets
  • Reviews, retrieves and prints digital court calendars for defendants who failed to appear in court
  • Screens, records daily and monthly closings of FTA grids
  • Prints and mails FTA notification letters
  • Files documents for routine record keeping and archiving
  • Assists with document storage and destruction, as needed
  • Other clerical duties, as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least a HS Diploma and 1 year of work experience in a customer service or client facing role
  • Ability to effectively communicate CJA and court procedures to individuals at risk for re-arrest warrants.
  • Computer literate with the ability to work with Window OS & Outlook
  • Some experience working with data from multiple sources (spreadsheets, databases, reports, etc).

Note: For approval of PT hours, the successful candidate must be able and willing to work 25-30 hours per week. FT hours are 35 hours per week.
